For my visual story I decided to do a piece on self discovery and finding true self. In the first image, I added the Camera Raw filter to give off that perfect/flawless look. This depicts how the world sees them. They don't see everything. For the second image it depicts the time of looking in the mirror unsure. I altered the brightness and contrast to give off an eary feeling. I did that because it can be scary to sit with the reality of yourself at times. For image 3 I added an image of cracked glass. This image depicts the pressure of who you are and who the world needs you to be. The becomes so intense that you crack. That is also why there are duplicates of the same image to show the identity crisis and confusion. In image 4 it depicts the break of the mask represents the end of being something that you are not. I picked this image because it shows the ruins of the mask. I also filled in a tear drop. It is such a little detail but it represents the pain that the mask held with it. Image 5 depicts the freedom of getting to be yourself without any pressure.
